Have you or someone close to you experienced symptoms that might have been caused by statins? Your input is needed on a protocol looking at how often these symptoms are truly caused by statin therapy.
Skills / interests: Patient and public input
Would you be interested in helping us with a protocol focused on how often symptoms are genuinely caused by statin use?
I am looking for a consumer who would be willing to provide feedback for a Cochrane protocol, “Statin-related symptoms attributable to statin use as determined by N=1-interventions”. Cochrane considers a consumer to be someone with experience of the condition (in this case, symptoms possibly caused by statins), either as a patient or as a carer/family member of a patient.
A protocol is a plan for a systematic review. Consumer input at the protocol stage is important to ensure that the completed review will be relevant and helpful to patients and carers making healthcare decisions. For consumer peer review, you will be asked to complete a short feedback form. Our aim is to keep this task manageable and not overly time-consuming for consumer reviewers.
Thank you in advance for considering!
