eCOVID-19 RecMap: Reviewers with experience in searching & screening for Cochrane Canada and partners' Living Map of COVID-19 Recommendations and Gateway to Contextualization
Skills / interests: Risk of Bias assessment, Data extraction, Dissemination / Knowledge Translation, Screening and selecting studies
In response to the rapid and intensive development of COVID-19 guidelines, a team of faculty and staff at the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence & Impact (HEI) at McMaster University, the McMaster GRADE Center, and Cochrane Canada collaborated with more than ten institutions around the world to develop, maintain, and enhance a storehouse of COVID-19 recommendations. The result is an interactive, easy-to-navigate, living, and freely accessible online repository of quality-appraised COVID-19 recommendations. This COVID-19 Living Map of Recommendations and Gateway to Contextualization (herein referred to as the RecMap: https://covid19.recmap.org) collates and presents emerging guidelines on COVID-19 for clinical, public health, and health policy. To date, the eCOVID19 RecMap includes over 5,300 recommendations. To find out more about the RecMap, watch a 5-minute video at https://covid19.recmap.org/resources/Welcome-to-the-eCOVID-19-Recommendations-Map.mp4.
Multiple opportunities exist for research internships with the eCOVID19 RecMap project team:
1. Search & Screening
2. Search & Screening + Data Management
3. Search & Screening + Data Visualization and Reporting
Each intern will focus on one phase in the RecMap development process, giving them an experiential learning opportunity that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom (e.g., health research methods) with practical application and skills development in a real-life setting.
We are happy to give contributor points towards Cochrane membership.

Hello Dilhara, I am interested in contributing to this task, as well as the other one that you posted for COVID-19 and Cochrane Canada. I'm an infectious disease epidemiologist looking to focus on evidence synthesis. Thank you!
Are you still recruiting for this task? If yes, I am interested in learning more. Many thanks!
