We are particularly looking for people with the following perspectives:

  1. Cochrane review or systematic review authors
  2. Cochrane editors and peer reviewers
  3. Guideline developers and policy makers
  4. Practitioners who interpret and apply Cochrane evidence in clinical or health-related settings
  5. Researchers who interpret and reuse Cochrane evidence in research settings (academic or other)

  7. Consumers of Cochrane evidence (patients, carers, or the wider public)
  8. Librarians and / or information specialists
  9. Translators of Cochrane content

How can I be added to the volunteer base? Please apply for this task and confirm (1) which of the above perspectives you bring (if multiple apply, please confirm them all), (2) your email address and (3) any areas of the new review format project that are of particular interest to you.

Please note, this is an expression of interest. Opportunities to inform changes to the format of Cochrane Reviews will begin in early 2023 and continue throughout the year; some tasks may be small and some may be larger. Those who complete this form will be added to our volunteer base and contacted when opportunities arise. Some may involve online focus groups, one-one-one short virtual calls, or written feedback through email or surveys. You can choose which you are able to do when you receive the emails. If at any point you change your mind and do not want to be contacted about opportunities, we can remove you from the volunteer base. Opportunities may include:

  • Informing how changes will look on published Cochrane Reviews
  • Informing changes to the Cochrane authoring platform (RevMan)
  • Providing feedback on new guidance or templates

For background, please watch this webinar recording on the new review format project in Cochrane (see the first 25 minutes for the main presentation).

The next round of testing and feedback is in February and March and involves changes to RevMan and Editorial Manager, with a deadline of 1 March 2023 for expressing an interest. Other opportunities will be available in 2023 with updated deadlines.
