I am looking for someone willing to provide feedback for the following Cochrane protocol, "Treatments for vaccine-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (VITT)". If you or someone you know were treated for this condition, your feedback would be most helpful in gaining a consumer perspective.
VITT, a rare and severe adverse effect occurs within 5 to 30 days after vaccination from Astra Zeneca or the Johnson & Johnson vaccines. VITT causes blood clots to form in different parts of the body which can be devastating.
A protocol is a plan for a systematic review. Consumer input at the protocol stage is integral to ensure that the completed systematic review will be helpful to patients and carers with healthcare decision-making. You will be asked to complete a short form with your feedback for consumer peer review. Our aim is for this to be a manageable task, that does not overburden consumer reviewers.
Cochrane
