Input needed on a review: do you have personal experience of healthcare workers using personal mobile devices?
Skills / interests: Patient and public input
Would you be interested in helping us with this article focused on healthcare workers' informal use of personal mobile devices in patient care?
I am looking for a consumer who would be willing to peer review this Cochrane systematic review “Healthcare workers’ informal uses of mobile phones and other mobile devices to support their work: a qualitative evidence synthesis.” Cochrane considers a consumer to be a person with experience of the situation (in this case, a healthcare worker using their mobile phones in care informally), either as a patient or as a carer/family member of a patient. From a consumer perspective, we are interested if the language of the review, especially the language used in the Plain Language Summary, is accessible and if it feels relevant for those experiencing this behavior of healthcare workers.
While you are welcome to provide feedback on any aspect of the review, you can focus your attention on the summary sections. Our aim is for this to be a manageable task, that does not overburden consumer reviewers.
Thank you in advance for considering!
