Switching antipsychotic for non response in schizophrenia: Do you or a loved one been affected by schizophrenia? Your input is needed on a review considering Switching antipsychotic for non response in schizophrenia for people with schizophrenia.

Skills / interests: Consumer (public, patient, carer) input

Would you be interested in helping us with this article focused on whether switching to a different antipsychotic drug as opposed to maintaining treatment with the current antipsychotic could be advantageous for patients with schizophrenia exhibiting inadequate response to their initial antipsychotic? I am looking for a consumer who would be willing to peer review this Cochrane systematic review “Switching antipsychotic for non response in schizophrenia.”

Cochrane considers a consumer to be a person with experience of the condition (in this case, schizophrenia), either as a patient or as a carer/family member of a patient. From a consumer perspective, we are interested if the language of the review, especially the language used in the Plain Language Summary, is accessible and if it feels relevant for those experiencing schizophrenia, such that it will be helpful to patients and carers with healthcare decision making.

While you are welcome to provide feedback on any aspect of the review, you can focus your attention on the summary sections. Our aim is for this to be a manageable task, that does not overburden consumer reviewers.

Thank you in advance for considering!
