Do you have childbirth experience? We’re looking for consumer reviewers to help provide feedback on 2 important reviews
Skills / interests: Consumer (public, patient, carer) input
Both of the reviews deal with either preventing or managing post-partum hemorrhage.
The titles are listed below:
1. Transfusion of blood and blood products for postpartum haemorrhage prevention and treatment
2. Uterotonic agents for preventing postpartum haemorrhage: a network meta-analysis
Would you be interested in helping us with either of these reviews?
Cochrane considers a consumer to be a person with experience of the condition (in this case, childbirth), either as a patient or as a carer/family member of a patient. From a consumer perspective, we are interested if the language of the review, especially the language used in the Plain Language Summary, is accessible and if it feels relevant for those experiencing childbirth, such that it will be helpful to patients and carers with healthcare decision making.
While you are welcome to provide feedback on any aspect of the review, you can focus your attention on the summary sections. Our aim is for this to be a manageable task, that does not overburden consumer reviewers.
The reviews will most likely be ready for peer reviewers by 23 September. Consumer reviewers will then have one week from assignment to provide their feedback.
If you are interested and able to meet the one-week deadline, please let us know which title you’d like to work on.
Thank you in advance for considering!
