Forming a Research Team for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis in Medical Fields

We seek to form a research team dedicated to conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses in various medical fields. This task will involve comprehensive literature searches, data collection, statistical analysis, and synthesizing results to contribute to high-quality systematic reviews.

 

Skills Required:

 

  • Experience in systematic review methodology, including PICO annotation
  • Proficiency in tools like RevMan and ROB
  • Knowledge in conducting meta-analysis and understanding bias in research
  • Strong literature search and data analysis skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and provide peer review

Time Estimate: The time required will depend on the specific review topic. On average, systematic reviews can take several months to complete, with the meta-analysis portion taking additional time for data extraction and analysis.

 

Review Contribution: The research will contribute to developing systematic reviews that aim to inform medical practice and improve patient care. It will be part of a broader effort to enhance evidence-based decision-making in the healthcare field.

Ideal applicant

Location: No specific location required; remote collaboration is acceptable. Time Commitment: Full-time commitment is not necessary; participants can contribute gradually on a flexible schedule. Meetings: Regular virtual meetings will be scheduled to discuss progress and assign tasks. Required Skills & Experience: ✅ Prior experience in systematic reviews or meta-analysis (preferred but not mandatory). ✅ Strong literature search skills, especially in medical databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane). ✅ Familiarity with tools such as RevMan and ROB tool. ✅ Ability to work in a team and contribute to data analysis and bias assessment. ✅ Strong scientific writing and critical review skills. ✅ Research publication experience (preferred but not required).
