Neonatal Care

Your input is needed on a review about calming babies being cared for in a neonatal intensive care unit

Skills / interests: Patient and public input

Would you be interested in helping us with a review that is looking at the risks and benefits of using a drug called midazolam to calm (sedate) babies during medical procedures in the neonatal intensive care unit.

I am looking for someone who would be willing to provide patient and public involvement peer review for this Cochrane systematic review, “Midazolam for sedation of infants in the neonatal intensive care unit”. You may be a parent or carer of a baby who received care in a neonatal intensive care unit.

We would like to know if the language of the review, especially the language used in the Plain Language Summary, is accessible and if it feels relevant for people, such that it will be helpful to parents and carers.

While you are welcome to provide feedback on any aspect of the review, you can focus your attention on the summary sections. We aim for this to be a manageable task that does not overburden reviewers.

Thank you in advance for considering!
