Seeking collaborator for a systematic review and meta-analysis on neonatal infections

Skills / interests: Risk of Bias assessment, Screening and selecting studies, Data extraction

Dear colleagues,

My name is Daniela Elena Caci, MD, from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Policlinico Gemelli IRCCS (Rome, Italy). I work in the field of microbiology, virology, and infectious diseases.

We are currently initiating a systematic review and meta-analysis on neonatal infections. Further details regarding the protocol will be shared with selected collaborators.

We are looking for a motivated team member with the following qualifications:

  • Access to scientific databases, specifically Embase and Web of Science

  • Access to and experience with PROSPERO

  • Knowledge of the Italian language is considered an asset, although not mandatory

Candidates with a background in public health, pediatrics, infectious diseases, microbiology, statistics, or health sciences will be given preferential consideration, as their expertise would be particularly valuable to the project.

The selected collaborator will support the team by conducting blinded screening of titles/abstracts and assisting with data extraction, independently from other reviewers to ensure methodological robustness.

Authorship on the final publication will be guaranteed for substantial contributions to the project.

If you are interested in joining our team, please feel free to get in touch. We look forward to collaborating with you!

Best regards,

Daniela Elena Caci, MD Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Policlinico Gemelli IRCCS Rome, Italy

Ideal applicant

The ideal applicant has access to both Embase and Web of Science, and is familiar with the use of PROSPERO for systematic review registration and management. A background in public health, pediatrics, infectious diseases, microbiology, statistics, or health sciences is highly preferred, as it would enhance the quality and depth of the project. Attention to detail, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and prior experience with blinded title/abstract screening or data extraction in systematic reviews will be considered strong assets. Proficiency in Italian is not essential, but it will be viewed positively, especially for facilitating communication and reviewing Italian-language sources if needed. We are looking for a reliable and committed collaborator who is genuinely interested in contributing to a high-quality systematic review. Co-authorship on the final publication is guaranteed for meaningful contributions.
