Information Specialist Needed for Search Strategy Development – Cochrane Review

We are seeking an experienced Information Specialist to support the development of a comprehensive search strategy for an upcoming Cochrane systematic review. The review focuses on the effectiveness of Maternal and Child health services.

Tasks include:

  • Collaborating with the review team to refine the research question and eligibility criteria (PICO).

  • Designing and executing sensitive and specific search strategies across databases (e.g., CENTRAL, MEDLINE, Embase).Providing a reproducible and transparent search documentation following Cochrane MECIR standards.

Ideal candidate:

  • Has prior experience working on Cochrane reviews as an information specialist/librarian.

  • Is familiar with the Cochrane Handbook and MECIR standards.

  • Can begin work immediately
