Librarian / Information Specialist Needed – "Effectiveness and Safety of LITT vs MRgFUS in Drug-Resistant Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy: A Comparative Review"

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a librarian or information specialist experienced in systematic reviews to support the design and documentation of our search strategy.

 

Project summary:

This is a comparative systematic review evaluating the effectiveness and safety of minimally invasive treatments (LITT vs MRgFUS) for drug-resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy.

 

Tasks include:

  • Developing a comprehensive search strategy for databases such as MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL, and others
  • Identifying grey literature sources (e.g., trial registries, conference abstracts)
  • Assisting with proper documentation following PRISMA 2020
  • Peer-reviewing the strategy using the PRESS checklist

 

Skills required:

  • Experience with search design for systematic reviews
  • Familiarity with epilepsy or neurosurgical interventions is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate via email or video meetings
  • Technical and academic English proficiency

 

Estimated timeline:

We are currently in the protocol phase and would ideally like to finalize the search strategy within the next 4–6 weeks.
