Have you or someone you know well experienced gastro-esophageal reflux? Your input is needed on a review considering a feeding tube inserted into the tomach and extended into the small intestine to provide nutrition for children with neurological impairment with gastro-esophageal reflux.
Skills / interests: Patient and public input
I am looking for a carer or a members of the public with an interest in the topic who would be willing to peer review this Cochrane systematic review “Gastrostomy plus fundoplication or gastro-jejunal tube versus gastrostomy alone for gastro-esophageal reflux in children with neurological impairment.”
Cochrane considers a consumer to be a person with experience of the condition (in this case, gastro-esophageal reflux in children with neurological impairment.), either as a patient or as a carer/family member of a patient. From a consumer perspective, we are interested if the language of the review, especially the language used in the Plain Language Summary, is accessible and if it feels relevant for those experiencing gastro-esophageal reflux in children with neurological impairment., such that it will be helpful to patients and carers with healthcare decision making.
While you are welcome to provide feedback on any aspect of the review, you can focus your attention on the summary sections. Our aim is for this to be a manageable task, that does not overburden consumer reviewers.
Thank you in advance for considering!
