Skills / interests: Clinical peer review, Review development, Prioritisation of review topics, Data analysis and organisation, Project management, Writing (drafting and editing), Guideline development, Data extraction, Patient and public input
This project aims to describe a middle meningeal artery embolization in chronic subdural hematoma case series, working alongside leading neurosurgery experts . Selected participants will gain hands-on experience in review articles, writing protocols, and writing manuscripts while contributing to groundbreaking research with the opportunity for publication in an indexed journal.
Benefits:
-
Posibility to publish in an indexed journal
-
Access to classes about the case report and middle meningeal artery embolization in chronic subdural hematoma.
- Access to learn the essential tools for a literature review, searching algorythms, risk of bias assassement, data extraction and data analysis as well as CARE and PROCESS Guidelines.
Responsibilities:
-
Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time
-
Attend training sessions and courses on methodology and biostatistics
-
Attend training sessions for CARE and PROCESS Guidelines.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of innovative research while enhancing your expertise in medical research.

I am very interested in the opportunity to join your project on middle meningeal artery embolization and chronic subdural hematoma. As a recently graduated nurse with a strong interest in research, I have already co-authored a systematic review following PRISMA-ScR methodology, and I am currently developing my skills in critical appraisal, bias assessment, and data extraction. I am eager to gain further experience in systematic reviews and clinical research methodology, and I particularly value the training opportunities you provide (Rayyan, SysRev, bias evaluation, CARE and PROCESS guidelines). I am highly motivated to contribute actively and to complete the tasks assigned with accuracy and punctuality. Thank you for your consideration. I would be happy to provide additional information about my background and experiences. Kind regards,
Dear Dr. García González, My name is Santiago Bolívar, a fourth-year medical student at Universidad del Rosario (Colombia) with experience in systematic review methodology, data analysis, and academic writing. Although I have not yet worked directly on embolization or neurosurgery cases, my recent contribution to a study accepted in Vox Sanguinis (ISBT) strengthened my skills in data extraction, structured reporting, and adherence to PRISMA and CARE guidelines. I am deeply interested in neurointerventional research and clinical neurology, and I am confident my strengths in scientific writing, data organization, and methodological rigor would add value to your project “Effectiveness, Security and Costs of Middle Meningeal Artery Embolization in Chronic Subdural Hematoma.” I am motivated to contribute proactively, meet deadlines, and learn from your expert team. Best regards, Santiago Bolívar Medical Student – Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia
