Invitation to Participate in Developing a Clinical Practice National Guideline (Spain)

I am writing to request support and invite participation in the development of a Clinical Practice Guideline on Cerebral Small Vessel Disease (cSVD) using the GRADE Adoloptment methodology.

 

Our goal is to adapt existing high-quality international guidelines, including the European Stroke Organization Guideline on Cerebral Small Vessel Disease, to the local context, ensuring that recommendations are evidence-based, patient-centered, and applicable to the healthcare system in Spain. The guideline will cover prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of cSVD, targeting adult patients and healthcare professionals across different levels of care.

We are seeking collaboration from experts in the following areas:

  • Guideline development using GRADE Adoloptment methodology

  • Evidence synthesis and systematic reviews if needed

  • Peer review of guideline drafts to ensure methodological and clinical rigor

Ideal applicant

The ideal candidate would have experience in clinical guideline development, familiarity with GRADE methodology, and a strong commitment to producing high-quality, implementable recommendations. Participation would involve contributing to methodological planning, evidence appraisal, and recommendation formulation. We would greatly appreciate guidance and support on: Advice on systematic review integration and Evidence to Decision (EtD) frameworks Assistance in registering the guideline project and ensuring methodological rigor according to Cochrane standards Identifying potential participants, including peer reviewers and other relevant contributors available through the Cochrane Engage program
