Skills / interests: Other

Methodological skills / interests: Qualitative evidence synthesis

We are looking for qualitative evidence synthesis (QES) authors! We would like authors to test out and give us feedback on the ease-of-use of the new PRISMA QES reporting guideline.  If you will be writing up your synthesis between August and December 2026 and would like more information on taking part, please contact emma.france@stir.ac.uk or jane.noyes@bangor.ac.uk. There is also a participant information sheet attached with more details.

What is involved in taking part?

Taking part will involve attending a user testing session to help us check how well the guideline works when people like you use it. We would like you to:

  • Try out the guideline: You will use the guideline to help report your Qualitative Evidence Synthesis on your own time. While doing this, we would like you to write down any thoughts, questions, or challenges you experience as you go through each of the guideline items.
  • Share your feedback: After you have tried the guideline, we will set up a one-on-one online meeting with you using MS Teams. In this meeting, we will ask you to walk us through how you used the guideline, step by step. You will share your thoughts, explain how you applied each part of the guideline, and talk about anything that worked well or could be improved.
