Development of a core outcome set to evaluate how effective shared decision-making interventions in healthcare are.
The new COS-SDM will apply to: Any health condition and all population groups Any type of healthcare decision, from treatments (e.g. surgery, medication) to tests (e.g. screening, diagnostic tests) to lifestyle choices (e.g. physical activity programmes) All types of SDM programmes (e.g. training) or tools (e.g. decision aids), whether used by patients, health professionals, or systems Research studies in both clinical and community settings
